Recipient groups let you route certain alerts to a specific subset of your phone numbers. Each group gets its own SigSpan email address — send an alert to it and only that group’s phones are texted.
A group is a named set of your phone numbers with its own dedicated SigSpan email address. Alerts emailed to that address reach only the phones in the group, so the right alerts go to the right people.
Open the Groups page from your dashboard and create a group with a descriptive name — for example, "Emergency" or "Night Shift".

Add any of your verified phone numbers to the group. A phone number can belong to more than one group.
Each group has its own SigSpan email address, shown on your dashboard. Point the relevant alerts at that address and only the group’s phones will receive them.
Create multiple groups (up to your plan’s limit) to route alerts by team, severity, shift, or site. Because a phone can be in several groups, one number can receive alerts from any groups it belongs to.
